CLI

Set up a project, pull feedback for your agent and manage CI tokens from the terminal.

Install and sign in

npx @commentkit/cli login

The terminal shows a short code and opens your browser. Check that the code matches, choose the project and what the CLI may do. The sign-in stays on your computer, readable only by you, and renews itself for 30 days. commentkit status shows where you are signed in.

Set up a project

In your app’s folder
npx @commentkit/cli init

It finds Next.js, Vite, SvelteKit, Astro or Nuxt and offers each change before making it: the project key in your env file, the build plugin in your config, and .commentkit/ in .gitignore. Add --install to install the packages too. If a config file has an unusual shape, it tells you the lines to add instead of guessing.

Pull feedback

commentkit pull saves open feedback and tasks to .commentkit/feedback.md, with the page, source file and branch of each, so any agent can read it. commentkit open CK-12 opens a task in the browser.

Tokens for CI

A token for GitHub Actions
commentkit token create "GitHub Actions" --status

Set COMMENTKIT_TOKEN and COMMENTKIT_PROJECT_ID in CI and the CLI works without signing in. A token never gets more permissions than your own sign-in. commentkit token list and commentkit token revoke 5 manage them.
