Annotations & screenshots
Capture the detail without losing the context.
Choose the clearest tool
- Click an element to comment on it.
- Drag to mark an area.
- Select text first to comment on exactly that text.
- Mark up the screenshot with an arrow, box, pen, text or blur.
Keep the comment specific: describe what you expected and what you saw. The screenshot adds context; it does not replace the explanation.
Automatic screenshots
Every comment includes a screenshot of the visible page with the pin drawn on it, plus the page, branch, browser and screen size. There is nothing to install. Images from other websites and embedded frames may not appear in the screenshot.
Respect private content
Passwords, card fields and one-time codes are never captured. Mark any other private area so it is left out too. Reviewers can also blur parts of the screenshot before posting; blurring cannot be undone.

When the layout changes
A screenshot shows the page at that moment. Check the page, branch and conversation, and look at the current website before changing code.
