Browser extension
Leave feedback on your team’s websites without installing anything on the site.
What it does
The CommentKit browser extension lets your team leave feedback on a website that does not have CommentKit installed, as long as one of your projects lists that website in Project → Setup. It works in Chrome, Edge and other Chromium browsers, Firefox and Safari.
It is the way to review sites on Vercel or Cloudflare Pages without touching their code. Clients do not need it: a client link is enough for them.
Install
The store listings (Chrome Web Store, Firefox Add-ons and the App Store for Safari) are on their way. Until they are live, ask us at [email protected] for early access.
Use it
- Click the CommentKit button in the browser toolbar and sign in. Your password never touches the extension.
- On a website your project lists, choose Comment on this page. The usual CommentKit widget appears.
- The first time, the browser asks to let CommentKit run on that website, so comments come back after a reload.
Screenshots are taken from the browser itself, so they match what you see exactly. Private fields are still covered before the screenshot is saved.
Limits
- Only websites listed in Project → Setup can get comments.
- A site whose Content Security Policy blocks
connect-srcto commentkit.dev also blocks the extension’s widget. See the CSP guide. - Only the top page gets comments, not embedded frames.
